All Seasons Safaris Booking Procedures & Policies
 

 

All clients fly into Johannesburg International Airport.
You will be met by our Professional Hunters
and escorted to our main camp.
Flights arrive daily from Atlanta with Delta, Washington
and JFK using South African Airways and Lufthansa
with a 6-8 hour layover in Germany.
A valid passport is needed to enter South Africa
but no visas are required.
We highly recommend using Gracey Travel International, Inc. for booking your flights.
They also have a representative at Johannesburg Airport that meets all passengers in the terminal once you clear customs. Their agent Bruce will walk you through the
last bit of paperwork.
Guns and Permits:
Each client is allowed 2 guns for importing.
Not more than one gun of the same caliber is allowed.
No Automatic and Semi Automatic guns or Handguns are allowed.
Minimum caliber for buffalo, lion, rhino and elephant is .375 .
Eighty rounds of ammo per gun are allowed.
Shotgun shells for bird hunting can be bought in South Africa.
What Is Required To Import A Rifle:
1. Each client needs to complete a customs declaration form (Number-4457), obtained from this link or from a US Customs office.
This is obtained after inspection of your gun.
2. A firearm permit will be issued upon arrival in South Africa.
We will ensure that you receive the permit application prior to your departure.
3. A hunting invitation letter will be forwarded to you to be included in your application.
This Is What You Will Need To Do For Importing Your Gun.
1. Fill out the gun application permit fill it out complete.

page 4 of 8 G only (import info)
page 5 of 8 Clients Details of firearm and ammo
page 6 of 8 Client need to sign + details, do not fill out K
2. A US Customs declaration form 4457
The custom declaration form 4457 can be obtained by clicking on the link or at any US Customs office, and major airports.
Your gun needs to be inspected and the serial number checked to get the 4457.
*3. Invitation letter*
I will send you a invitation letter that you need to just fill in your details.
You will hand this letter with the US Customs form 4457 and your filled out gun application to the Gun officer in South Africa.
Remember NO Semi Automatics, NO Full Automatic Firearms.
NO Handguns, NO 2 Rifles off the same caliber.
Applicants importing firearms must be 21 years old .
Maximum 80 rounds of ammo.
